Reliance Roof Troop is unique. We not only install Standard (oxidized) asphalt shingles, but we are also certified to install Polymer Modified Asphalt and Polymer Synthetic Shingles. Roofing has changed a lot over the last century and Reliance Roof Troop stays on the cutting edge of the industry.

Oxidized vs. Polymer Modified Asphalt

Asphalt, by itself, would melt off your roof when exposed to the heat of the sun.

The standard way of hardening asphalt was to "oxidize" or put it through a repeated heating/cooling process. Even though this hardens the asphalt, it also causes aging.

Polymer Modified asphalt avoids the aging process and instead injects rubber and plastic polymers into the asphalt. This hardens the asphalt but also makes it flexible, highly adhesive and durable!

Polymer Modified Shingles are more flexible than standard shingles with enhanced durability and superior granule adhesion.
